Tramon Williams visiting Green Bay and is expected to sign, per report

Tramon Williams is in Green Bay for a free agent visit with the Packers on Wednesday and is expected to sign if things go well, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The 37-year-old cornerback was released by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week after their playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Williams appeared in six regular-season games with the Ravens this year after signing midseason. He logged 169 snaps on defense as a reserve corner, including 55 snaps in the Ravens’ win over the Giants.

If he’s signed, he’d likely not be counted on for heavy reps, but given his familiarity with the Packers’ system, he could be a worthwhile depth piece — if only so the Packers don’t end up turning to Josh Jackson in a key situation.
