At his press conference on Monday, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst discussed many pressing issues concerning the Packers including the possibility of using the franchise or transition tag on Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones.
Both Jones and Jamaal Williams are scheduled to be unrestricted free agents later this month. That means that unless the Packers find a way to sign one of them, Green Bay will likely be without it’s top two running backs from 2020 when next season gets under way.
Gutekunst explained that using the franchise tag or transition tag on Jones is still a possibility.
