The Green Bay Packers fielded one of the best pass-rush duos in the NFL last season in outside linebackers Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith. Preston Smith had 12 sacks and 23 quarterback hits, and Greenville High School alumnus Za’Darius Smith had 13.5 sacks and 37 quarterback hits in 2019.
So when outside linebacker Tim Williams sizes up his prospects with the Packers in 2020, the former Alabama standout isn’t thinking about earning a starting spot. Instead, he’s aiming to emerge from the training-camp competition as a backup for the “Smith Brothers” this season.
