Green Bay — A source close to Jermaine Gresham said the oft-injured tight end passed the Packers' physical examination during his visit to Green Bay late this week.
Gresham, however, flew out of Green Bay on Friday without a deal before signing a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals later in the day.
The Cardinals and Packers were almost equally deficient at tight end. Terms of the contract weren't available, but it's likely the Cardinals procured Gresham by negotiating a better package on Friday with agent Todd France.
The NFL Network first reported Gresham's visit to Green Bay.
