As far as offseason controversies go, Josh Jacobs’ remarks this week are relatively tame. There are many, many other things an NFL player could do to end up in the crosshairs of fans, his teammates, and the media that are much worse than what he said.
You never want to publicly criticize your teammates if you don’t have to, and Jacobs definitely stepped in it to an extent. But whether or not the Packers’ wide receivers agree with his remarks, Jacobs has one big thing on his side.
He happens to be right.
The Packers lost to the Eagles in the playoffs — and the regular season, for that matter — because they simply were not as talented as the team they faced in Philadelphia.
