From almost the moment it was announced that the NFL draft would travel (way back in 2015), Green Bay Packers President & CEO Mark Murphy began lobbying to host the event.
Now, as he’s set to age out of his prestigious post—there’s a 70-year age limit for the Packers’ top executive role—he’ll be ending on a high note. It may not be another Lombardi for the trophy case, but hosting such a monumental event in Green Bay has to rank among his top accomplishments.
“It’s a source of pride – not just for me but I think for the entire organization,” said Murphy.
