The notorious "draft and develop" strategy that Packers general manager Ted Thompson has implemented over the years has naturally worked in full force. Of the 90 players currently listed on the team's roster, only four have suited up for another organization. The Packers are, what most would call, "homegrown".
But some of Thompson's projects are still in the developmental stages. As their careers ascend up the ladder of experience, these players begin to withhold many expectations. Some detrimental to the Packers' success, and some simply a component who, if lost, wouldn't put much of a dent in the pursuit of a championship.
