Peter Mortell, a Green Bay native, has gotten a lot of feel-good press today with the opening of the Packers rookie camp.
As the hometown favorite, the spotlight on him was pretty intense, but from the sounds of it, Mortell handled it well.
That’s all well and good, but we’re talking about a player who has the opportunity to do something really special here. If he can come from out of the undrafted free agent ranks to unseat veteran Tim Masthay, now that will be worth a glance or two.
