Once again, the Green Bay Packers’ offseason roster sits below the 90-man limit. On Monday, the team released Lavon Coleman, a second-year running back vying to win a job in the backfield rotation.
Coleman first arrived in Green Bay last October, landing a spot on the Packers’ practice squad after a seven-week stint with the Seattle Seahawks. Coleman remained on the practice squad until Week 16 when the team promoted him to the active roster. Coleman didn’t register a carry, though he appeared in one game. Coleman remained with Green Bay this offseason, participating in rookie minicamp last weekend.
