If you thought you noticed an uptick in snaps from rookie second-round pick linebacker Edgerrin Cooper in the Green Bay Packers’ win over the Tennessee Titans this weekend, your eyes aren’t lying to you. Cooper, who missed all of the preseason with a groin injury, played 18 snaps in Week 3, the same number of plays that he was on the field for in Week 1 and Week 2 combined.
When you dig into the numbers, it becomes clear who is paying for the expense of Cooper’s newfound playing time: Starting linebacker Isaiah McDuffie.
