Why take on somebody else's disappointment?
As the losses continue to pile up, the drum beat grows louder for the Green Bay Packers to trade for a receiver before the trade deadline November first. I get it. Certainly, the receiver position is a problem. Injuries have depleted the unit, and those who have been able to play have been inconsistent at best.
But I can’t help thinking that giving away future draft capital to acquire somebody is short sighted for several reasons. First of all, what the Packers need is a true number one receiver.
