GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Lambeau Field might never host a Super Bowl, but perhaps it’ll someday have its own bowl game.
At least that’s Green Bay Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy’s idea for the hallowed stadium, which is to host Wisconsin and LSU in the Lambeau Field College Classic on Sept. 3.
"I’d still like to host a bowl game," Murphy said during a breakout session with a small group of reporters following Friday’s meeting with reporters about the team’s overall financial picture, in advance of the July 21 shareholders meeting. "We’ve talked about it.
