According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s cap hit will be “just over $20 million.” Before his new extension that made him the highest-paid player in the history of football, Love carried a $12.7 million cap hit, meaning only around $8 million extra of the $220 million deal that Love signed up for is going to hit the Packers’ cap this year.
Per cap expert Ken Ingalls, the lowest Love’s cap hit could have been with the extension — now knowing Love’s signing bonus — would have been $18.
