The Green Bay Packers are entering a new era in 2023 and it goes beyond the fact that Aaron Rodgers is no longer with the team and Jordan Love is taking over as the quarterback. That change and the team’s salary cap crunch were the catalyst for GM Brian Gutekunst to make this team much younger. As a result, while the 2023 Packers may have as much or even more talent at some positions than the 2022 team, there will most certainly be some growing pains as these young players adjust to life in the NFL.
A year ago, the Packers had eight players on the roster who were 30 or over by the end of the season in Rodgers, Marcedes Lewis, Mason Crosby, Randall Cobb, Pat O’Donnell, David Bakhtiari, Preston Smith and Jarran Reed.
