Every year, I do one 7-round mock draft. Projecting every single one of the 257 picks is arduous and often crazy, especially in a draft season where the gap between players available at 12 and 50 is no greater than the gap between players available at 4 and 6.
This is what I think could happen when the draft kicks off on Thursday night in Green Bay, running through Mr. Irrelevant on Saturday evening. As longtime followers of my draft work know, beyond about the 50th pick, I'm much more interested in matching the player to the slot than the team listed to the player.
