Ted Thompson hasn't added a dynamic threat at tight end

Ted Thompson was doing his best Bill Belichick once again.

Standing at a podium during the NFL combine last month in Indianapolis, Thompson expertly dodged the 23 questions thrown his way. That's a skill Thompson has become remarkably adept at during his 11 years as the Green Bay Packers general manager.

If ever there was a master of saying nothing, Thompson would be it. At one point during the give-and-take, Thompson was asked about Green Bay's subpar group of tight ends.

"Tight end is a position that we value," Thompson said.

Like much of Thompson's combine interview, that response seemed like wasted air.
