GREEN BAY – The state champions in the two largest high school divisions in Wisconsin will close the Packers’ regular season by squaring off in the QB Challenge at halftime of the Packers-Vikings game on Jan. 3.
Homestead High School won the WIAA Division 2 state title while Kimberly won the Division 1 crown in 2015.
Homestead began the season 2-2 but then won 10 consecutive games on its way to the state championship. The Highlanders took the North Shore Conference with a big win over rival Whitefish Bay in the second-to-last regular season game and then avenged a regular-season loss to Germantown in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs.
