If the Packers wanted fourth-round pick Vince Biegel to begin his season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to begin the season, they have a little freedom in doing so after Wednesday.
General manager Ted Thompson went out and signed his eighth(!) free agent this offseason in an attempt to help piece together some of the depth at outside linebacker.
Ahmad Brooks, 33, was the target Thompson successfully hit.
Brooks is entering his 11th season after spending the last eight with the San Francisco 49ers and proving as a beacon of production along the way.
