GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Anders Carlson will not get a chance to make up for his final kick last season, the missed 41-yard field goal attempt that would have given the Green Bay Packers a seven-point lead late in their 24-21 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
The team cut Carlson on Tuesday, a source told ESPN, as they began the process of trimming their roster. All teams must be down to no more than 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Sources said the Packers are also waiving both backup quarterbacks they had in camp -- second-year pro Sean Clifford (who was Jordan Love's backup last season) and rookie seventh-round pick Michael Pratt.
