GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Anders Carlson will not get a chance to make up for his final kick last season, the missed 41-yard field goal attempt that would have given the Green Bay Packers a seven-point lead late in their 24-21 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
The team cut Carlson on Tuesday, a source told ESPN, as they began the process of trimming their roster. All teams must be down to no more than 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
A sixth-round pick last year and the brother of Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson, the younger Carlson missed 13 total kicks last season (including extra points and field goals) in 19 regular-season and playoff games combined.
