Slumping Manning still worries Packer defenders

Green Bay — The statistics under the quarterback column in Denver look nothing like the numbers Peyton Manning is accustomed to producing throughout his illustrious career: seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions, zero games without a turnover.

Through six games and six wins for the Broncos, Manning, 39, is enduring the most befuddling stretch of his career with fluttering passes and a profound lack of precision. His passer rating of 72.5 ranks below the likes of Michael Vick, Blake Bortles, Marcus Mariota and Johnny Manziel.

But members of the Green Bay Packers paid Manning a great deal of respect Monday, their first day back from the bye week, and stressed the difficult nature of their upcoming game in Denver.
