The Packers approach free agency this season knowing they have less cap room than they did a year ago when they splurged on four high-priced players who all not only started but made significant contributions to the team’s success.
This year, wide receiver is clearly an area of need. GM Brian Gutekunst is more likely to spend more money on an inside linebacker in free agency than he is on a wide receiver. The Packers are more likely to add a mid-priced receiver than a marquis name costing a lot of money.
With that in mind, here are six moderately priced free agents who could be targets for the Packers when free agency gets under way later this month.
