Green Bay — It was just a June practice, weeks before the pads go on and months before mistakes have grave consequences on frosty fall afternoons. But it was impossible not to notice how many balls the Green Bay Packers' defense got its hands on during drills last week at Ray Nitschke Field.

Tips and picks, deflections and knockdowns. Cornerbacks jumping routes, safeties glued to the backs of receivers.

"For us to get our hands on balls with the great, great offense that we have, that's staying a lot," cornerback Damarious Randall said.
