METAIRIE, La. -- Joe Callahan is experiencing one of the best internship programs in NFL history.
After spending the summer learning alongside Aaron Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers, the undrafted rookie quarterback from Wesley College got released last week.
A day later, he was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints -- and now he’s learning alongside Drew Brees.
“Every once in a while, you kind of sit there and think, like, ‘I’m really in a meeting room with Drew Brees right now.’” Callahan said. “So things are moving pretty fast where you don’t really get a chance to sit back and think.
