The New Orleans Saints, facing an unfortunate situation and needing to move their home opener because of the damage left behind by Hurricane Ida, chose Jacksonville as the location — and did so carefully.
Naturally, the location should at least bring in some Saints fans along the Gulf Coast, but the opponent might have been considered, as well.

Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune (or NOLA.com, if you prefer) wrote that the choice of venue was intentional, that "relative inaccessibility and unattractiveness as a destination location were the exact reasons the Saints elected to play there," even though general manager Mickey Loomis didn't specifically itemize the factors in play.
