Green Bay — Very early in his tenure with the Green Bay Packers, rookie tight end Kennard Backman stood among his positional peers and answered a simple question: What do you like to do in your spare time?
The inquiry, posed by position coach Jerry Fontenot, functioned as something of an icebreaker to foster chemistry and incubate trust for a group that will spend hundreds of hours together throughout the season.
So Backman, who is 6 foot 3 and 245 pounds with a soft voice and inviting smile, rose to his feet and stunned them all by saying he enjoys cutting hair.
