Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling started to build a connection in 2018 but a slow start to this year’s training camp has somewhat overshadowed last season’s progress.
Through the first few weeks, the two have struggled to get on the same page in practice rarely connecting on big plays. Of course, QB1 did not play in the preseason opener, however, Valdes-Scantling played a sparring eight snaps. His lone target was incomplete and then negated by a holding call.
On Thursday, the two are expected to get some work in together with the starters planned to play multiple series.
