The Green Bay Packers released defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois on Wednesday. They did so for the second time this season.
That big offseason free agent acquisition? Not so big after all.
Francois played in six games, but contributed just two tackles in that span. Ironically, his roster spot is now occupied by tackle Jason Spriggs, who has been designated to return from injured reserve.
Ironic because Spriggs was put on IR when the Packers brought Francois back after they cut him the first time. What goes around, comes around, I guess.
