The Packers 2022 season is over. Plans were put in place to go all in for a championship, another Super Bowl trophy. Many decisions went into the preseason moves of the Packers. The 2021 Packers had outplayed the 49ers at Lambeau Field only to have those offensive and defensive accomplishments shuttered by special team failures that cost the team the victory. Their defense had improved and could create steady pressure on opposing quarterbacks even though their best pass rusher, LaDarius Smith was hurt most of the season. The team seemed poised to compete for a championship, but the preseason moves and injuries in 2022 took their toll and contributed to the overall failure.
