NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Green Bay Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) against the New Orleans Saints. If true, Alexander will be the Packers’ third preferred starter who will not suit up for Green Bay tonight. The Packers already ruled out nickelback Javon Bullard (ankle) and middle linebacker Quay Walker (ankle) on Saturday.
Without Bullard and Alexander, the Green Bay secondary will likely feature Eric Stokes and Carrington Valentine as starting outside cornerbacks and Keisean Nixon in the slot. The question is what they’ll do at safety, where Evan Williams (quadricep) is questionable for the game.
