Report: Packers, Raiders to play in Winnipeg despite concerns over field conditions

Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy said Thursday afternoon that the evening’s preseason game against the Oakland Raiders will go on despite concerns over field conditions, Green Bay’s WBAY reports.

The game is being played at IG Field in Winnipeg, Canada, home of the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Concerns over field conditions arose on gameday, drawing attention of coaches and managers from both teams. The standard CFL goal posts had to be moved to accommodate the different dimensions of an NFL field, reportedly leaving a loose patch of turf in an end zone.
