Green Bay Packers fullback John Lovett will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, ESPN reported Friday.
Lovett, 24, has appeared in all eight games this season, rushing three times for 6 yards. He played 45 snaps on offense and 112 on special teams and added four tackles.
Packers special teams coordinator Shawn Mennenga praised Lovett's contributions earlier this week.
"I think he's done an awesome job. He's definitely a sparkplug for us and has developed into a good leader and plays hard, extremely hard, in every phase and has the right mentality that we're looking for (on) special teams," Mennenga said.
