The Jacksonville Jaguars recently traded their former starting left tackle, Cam Robinson, to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for draft picks that change in value based on Robinson’s performance for the remainder of the 2024 season. Why the Vikings made the trade for Robinson — their starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw went down for the season last week — is obvious. What isn’t so obvious is why the Jaguars were willing to make the deal.
Now, a potential factor has surfaced. Robinson, who played the Green Bay Packers last week, apparently “refused to play” in the game once he was told that he was benched in favor of former second-round tackle Walker Little pre-game, according to Mike Dempsey of 1010XL in Jacksonville.
