Packers cornerback Tramon Williams announced his retirement from football earlier this week. The announcement came on Williams’ 38th birthday and was made via social media.
Williams spent three tours of duty with the Packers totaling 10 seasons. His career journey went from undrafted free agent to Pro Bowl player and Super Bowl champion. When he is eligible, Williams is a lock to be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame.
By the end of his career, Williams became a very respected veteran presence in the locker room. When the Packers re-signed him during the 2020 playoffs, head coach Matt LaFleur had this to say about the former Louisiana Tech star:
“It’s great to have him back in the building.
