Redskins re-sign cornerback Blackmon, sign safety Bruton (The Associated Press)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Redskins continued to stabilize their secondary by bringing back cornerback Will Blackmon and adding safety David Bruton.

The Redskins re-signed Blackmon to what his agent, Peter J. Schaffer, confirmed in an email to The Associated Press is a two-year deal. The nine-year veteran had two interceptions and forced three fumbles in 15 games for the Redskins last season, including 10 starts. He also made 49 tackles.

Blackmon, 31, played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and Green Bay Packers before signing with the Redskins prior to last season.
