The process took time, but the Green Bay Packers may have finally found their kicker in the post-Mason Crosby era. Veteran Brandon McManus, who arrived in October, was nearly perfect for Matt LaFleur's team over 11 regular season games in 2024. However, McManus has an expiring contract, forcing the Packers to make another decision at kicker.
On multiple occasions, general manager Brian Gutekunst has said he wants to bring McManus back for the 2025 season. Who could blame him after watching the failures of Anders Carlson, Greg Joseph and Brayden Narveson?
Still, the Packers have to make the financial side work for a kicker who might not have many years left in his right leg.
