Green Bay — At some juncture the San Francisco 49ers' season will spin past the point of no return, a sense of hopelessness will invade and energy for the task at hand will wane.
It wasn't like that Sunday at Levi's Stadium when the 49ers played hard if not particularly well even by their modest standards in a 17-3 defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers.
The 49ers didn't give the game away by jumping offside on hard counts and turning the ball over. They made the Packers earn everything they got, which made the hard-fought triumph more rewarding for the visitors.
