While the Packers have a lot of exciting, young talent on offense, defense is a little bit more of a mystery. There are some established players in place, sure, but it’s not clear how how the unit will come together.
And from a statistical perspective, the established players haven’t made an enormous splash in their respective careers. Kenny Clark, for instance, has been one of the Packers’ best defensive players for virtually his entire career, but he plays a position that doesn’t make a huge impact on the stat sheet. In the same vein, Jaire Alexander hasn’t historically racked up huge totals in his counting stats, but that’s as much a reflection of his playing time as ability.
