The NFL Draft is the primary method most football teams use to build their rosters. Most successful teams put the bulk of their roster together via the draft and then use free agency and trades to fill a remaining need or two.
While the early rounds of the draft get the most attention each year, winning teams have a habit of finding quality additions to their clubs later in the draft. These players don’t get much hype as rookies, but they develop into significant contributors to a team’s success over the course of their careers.
