After practice on Wednesday, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced to the press that not only had middle linebacker Quay Walker cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol, but that Walker will start versus the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Walker missed last week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with the concussion that he suffered against the Houston Texans the week prior.
With Walker out of the lineup, the Packers won back-to-back games that ended on last-second field goals from new kicker Brandon McManus. Walker was replaced by Eric Wilson, who previously rotated in as an outside linebacker in Green Bay’s 4-3 scheme.
