As the New England Patriots exit the most heated period of free agency and start preparing for draft season, one obvious positional weakness remains.
Second-year quarterback Drake Maye will need better weapons to target in 2025. Tight end Hunter Henry led the team in receiving yards last season with 674, with receivers DeMario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte ranking second and third.
The Patriots hold the fourth pick in the draft, and not many are projecting any of this year's class of wideouts to go that high. Reaching for a prospect because of positional need rarely pays dividends, so the Patriots might have to try a few different options to fill the number-one receiver role.
