GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers protected themselves, but also gave Letroy Guion the chance to earn his money as part of the three-year contract the veteran defensive tackle signed last week.
The deal is heavy on bonus money: $50,000 in per-game roster bonuses that could total up to $2.4 million over the life of the deal, plus another $1.7 million in roster and workout bonuses.
However, he received only a $500,000 signing bonus as part of the deal that totals $11.05 million, plus the possibility of another $500,000 in Pro Bowl bonuses.
