GREEN BAY, Wis. -- James Jones has something to prove to the Raiders. But it’s the same thing he wants to prove to the Bears, Vikings, Lions and every other team in the NFL.
At least that’s what Jones insisted on Wednesday.
Back in his second tour with the Green Bay Packers, the veteran wide receiver gets the chance to play Sunday against the Raiders, who cut him this past offseason despite a career-high 73 receptions last year. After a preseason stint with the Giants, who also cut him, Jones re-signed with the Packers in time for the regular-season opener to help fill the void left by Jordy Nelson’s knee injury.
