Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that Packers WR Geronimo Allison will sign his exclusive rights tender before free agency opens this Thursday.
This is obviously just a formality, as Allison emerged as one of the few young bright spots for the Packers in 2016.
Allison’s exclusive tender will be a one-year contract worth $540,000 for the 2017 season.
Allison, 23, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually promoted to their active roster after Green Bay sustained some injuries at receiver.
