The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Devin Funchess hoping he would shore up the group and they could address other positional needs in the draft.
Now, thanks to COVID-19, those hopes will have to wait until 2021 to be realized.
As first reported by ESPN’s Field Yates and later confirmed by the player himself on Instagram, Funchess is choosing to opt out playing the 2020 season thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
In his statement on Instagram, Funchess said “Family is first.
