It appears that the Green Bay Packers’ issues on defense over the first three games of the 2018 season are leading the front office to look outside the organization to see if there are payers who can help improve the team’s inconsistent pass coverage. On Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that the Packers brought in a pair of veteran cornerbacks for workouts, both of whom have had bizarre offseasons.
The first name is Bashaud Breeland, who was one of the top cornerbacks on this year’s free agent market. A 2014 fourth-round pick, Breeland started all of his first four years in Washington before hitting the market, and he initially agreed to a contract with the Carolina Panthers.
