The Green Bay Packers were without rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper at Thursday’s practice because of a hamstring injury, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the team’s official site.
Cooper popped up as a limited participation at Wednesday’s practice with a new hamstring injury. His absence Thursday suggests he’ll be hard-pressed to play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field.
While a rookie, Cooper has played 60 percent or more of the Packers’ defensive snaps in five straight games. He’s produced 52 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over 10 games.
