The Green Bay Packers’ medical staff got the bad news that the team and fans feared on Sunday. After suffering a calf injury in practice on Thursday and sitting out Friday’s practice session, starting running back Aaron Jones’ status for today’s game was going to come down to the wire. And on Sunday morning, the decision was made: Jones will not play in today’s game.
Jones missed four games in each of his first two seasons, but was able to get through his entire 2019 breakout season unscathed, making this the first game he has missed since 2018.
