Sure, the Green Bay Packers sit at 2-2 after four games and are two games back of the 4-0 Minnesota Vikings for the NFC North lead. Sure, they have lost both games with Jordan Love as the starting quarterback.
But is this team a contender or a pretender? SB Nation asked that question to NFL fans this week about every 2-2 team, the Packers included. And the national perception of the Packers remains that they are a high-quality team that is very much still a legitimate candidate to make noise in the postseason.
Almost 7 out of 10 NFL fans who responded to the survey answered that way, describing the Packers as legitimate contenders:
