With two of their top wide receivers out for the game and an injured tight end in a “break glass in case of emergency” role, the Green Bay Packers had to roll with a skeleton crew at their offensive skill positions on Sunday. The team managed to ride a few key players to a 24-19 victory, however, thanks in large part to some big plays from an emerging star tight end and a decent day from their workhorse running back.
With the personnel issues in play, the Packers had only four wide receivers active for the game, and they had to call up a tight end from the practice squad to give them a third body who could be counted on to play a few snaps.
